In Shippy 1984, you are tasked with defending Earth from alien invaders. The game has some powerups and not all enemies simply go back and forth. It is intentionally simple so players can just play easily.
Dennis Payne took over maintaining the game in 2019. He added a two player mode.[1] A potential future for Shippy 1984 was displayed in a youtube video. It adds a 'cute' look to the game and cutscenes with banter between the two pilots.[2]
