The Powder Toy is a free game. This means that the source code is available to be studied, modified, and distributed. Most projects look for help with testing, documentation, graphics, etc., as well. |
The Powder Toy is a 2D physics simulation/sandbox game. It showcases a big number of materials such as liquids, gasses or explosives, and interactions by simulating air pressure, heat, gravity and electricity. Construction of complex machines and mechanisms is possible. Controllable stickmen can be placed in the scenes.[1]
Users can create accounts and share their simulations. As a result there is a big repository of creations including working power plants, cities or human body simulations. Many of them are under free licenses or even public domain.
