Pathological is a free game. This means that the source code is available to be studied, modified, and distributed. Most projects look for help with testing, documentation, graphics, etc., as well. |
Pathological is a puzzle game similar to “Logical” by Rainbow Arts, written by John-Paul Gignac who was inspired by Frozen Bubble. It is written in the Python programming language using the Pygame library. It is licensed under the GPL. The latest version of the game is 1.1.3 released on July 17, 2003. This game does not require 3D hardware acceleration. A version was included on OpenSource Game Power volume 1.
Gameplay[edit]
Colorful balls are stacked on the right, and pushed into the horizontal pipe one by one.
The player rotates pipe-connected disks, each of which has four holes for the balls. Once a ball gets into a hole, it can sometimes be pushed out with a click. There is more to the pipes, too.
The goal (with some fun exceptions) is to fill all of the discs, one by one, with four balls of the same color, so the balls disappear and each disc is marked as completed.
