One is enough is a free game. This means that the source code is available to be studied, modified, and distributed. Most projects look for help with testing, documentation, graphics, etc., as well.

One is enough is an arcade game written by Olli Etuaho in Python using the Pygame library as a warmup for pyweek 4. It is licensed under GPLv2. The latest version of the game is Alpha 0.40 released in 2007.

Gameplay[edit]

The land of ball’s economics are in such a state that among the capitalist balls, only one communist ball is left.

The ball has to try and convert the capitalist balls into communist balls, and send them into labor camps. Conversion consumes energy, and sending balls into a camp helps regeneration.

More and more capitalists are issued by the bank to stop you; the converted balls not yet sent into a camp help you.

Availability[edit]

The game appears to run everywhere Python does.

Binary packages are available at least for:

  • Debian lenny/sid (official repository, version 0.40-1; maintained by Debian Games Team, uploaded by Richard Hartmann)[2]
  • Microsoft Windows (game author’s site, version Alpha 0.35, Python included)
