GGZ Gaming Zone is an online gaming service as well as a framework for writing online games. The project was founded on January 10, 2000.[2] The project has several different libraries licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License.[1]d The latest stable release of GGZ Gaming Zone is 0.0.14.1 on February 17th, 2008.
Infrastructure Overview[edit]
The purpose of GGZ Gaming Zone is to provide the hosting and libraries for developers to easily develop online games.
Clients[edit]
These are called core clients. They're simply chat clients that have the ability to play games. There are several different kind of clients that used SDL, GTK+, or part of the KDE and Gnome environments.
Games[edit]
GGZ Gaming Zone supported many card and board games, as well independent games that come from other game projects. Projects like GNOME Games and KDE Games also used the infrastructure.

- GNU Go - GNU Go is a program that play the ancient board game, Go.[7]
