Free Software Gaming Tournament was a game tournament including only Free Software games in 2007 and 2008.[1] Whether only completely free as (as in four freedoms) data and game art or also less free data for at least non-commercial use were to be included was voted by the community[2] The completely free option won by some margin. The purpose of the tourney was to promote Free Software gaming. Games likely to be included were Nexuiz, OpenArena, BZFlag and others. The amount of games and size of the tourney depended on the community feedback and interest. Many matches were played and $400 sponsored prize money was dealt to the winners.
