About content[edit]
I don't understand how you don't understand. It seems like you might be someone who wants to make advertisement for strategywiki. can you maybe explain *why* it should be included in the wiki? I could explain it for GPL and for sourceforge.net but I doubt you can provide a good explanation about strategywiki. --Qubodup 15:50, 1 September 2007 (CEST)
- Well. Wiki is about free games. Strategywiki has guides for free games. And again, I don't really care (and have nothing to do with it, I stumbled on it on an AfD discussion in WP where it was mentioned as a place to move gameguides to which are not permitted in WP). So far I still have not heared a single reason why not to have it here as one of the sites dealing with free games. --Allefant 00:25, 2 September 2007 (CEST)
- Do we want to list every review sites that deal MOSTLY with proprietary games too but someday incidentally do a Free game. Strategywiki probably also incidentally deal with Free games or maybe at all? Where do we stop? Sourceforge.net host lot of game projects that are Free. GPL is a defining feature of many Free games. Can you cite me a link in Strategywiki that deal with Free games?--Kiba 00:36, 2 September 2007 (CEST)
- I have no idea if StrategyWiki does have guides for any free games - but to me it looks like it would be the place where to put one, if someone wants to write one. So it would be quite useful information to list it under webpages. E.g. someone wants to write a 10 page guide about free game X, they come here and look at the webpages section for a good place, and there they find it. There's nothing I can see wrong with that. But if you have any reasons to delete it, then so be it. In my view, it would be counter-productive to start a rules catalog like on WP though, with things like "only sites with significant coverage of free games may be listed". My idea would be: If something is spam/advertisement, delete it - else keep it if someone went through all the work and put it here. And in fact, things like 1up.com or gamespot.com, I'd see far more problematic, they have maybe 1 free game in 10000, so indeed don't have much to do with free games. But StrategyWiki itself is a completely free wiki, so sort of a sister project, or so it appeared to me when I added the link.. --Allefant 00:57, 2 September 2007 (CEST)
- We already have such rules for inclusion. It is our Libregamewiki:article policy.--Kiba 01:31, 2 September 2007 (CEST)
- Ah, ok, so according to anything related to free games StrategyWiki certainly deserves an article then :) --62.47.190.199 16:01, 2 September 2007 (CEST)
