Can you add a plugin in this wiki for show a captcha in creation page?

I newbie in this wiki and the idea is great. But the spammers (I hope that they are bot-spammers) fill the wiki with the crap. And in other wikis the solution is add the plugin to show captcha to check the creation page.

Weird spam

Stupid questions: do we need to mark spam as such when deleting or can we just use the default "other reason" when deleting? It would be faster to go with the default as there is a metric assload of spam! :) GNUbie 14:07, 4 July 2012 (UTC)

Swamped in spam

Hi there! Copy/pasting this message to all admins here. I was recently made an admin around here and was mostly deleting and blocking. But now the volume is in hundreds daily, so it's no longer doable. We must urgently change something or even sadly lock up this wiki or it will very soon became an unusable spam gallery. Hello. It seems some spammers are actively attacking this wiki. Maybe it is possible to reduce the volume of spam with some extensions of mediawiki : http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:ConfirmEdit
